Our story
Where we come from
We have spent more than eight years in construction — in Germany first, then on projects across several European countries. Large sites, run to a schedule, for well-known international companies, Amazon among them, alongside some of the best-known construction firms in the sector.
On sites like those, certain things are not optional. Work is scoped before it starts. Prices are written down. Progress is documented. Nobody disappears for three weeks. You learn to work that way because you are not allowed to work any other way.
LEVEL CRETE exists to bring that standard here. Crete is full of beautiful property and full of people — private owners, companies, restaurants — who cannot find someone who answers the phone, gives a straight price and finishes what they started. That gap is large, and we feel it every week in the people who come to us.
The name is the promise. A spirit level does not have an opinion. Either the work is straight or it is not.
How we work
Four things we do not compromise on
Say the difficult thing early
If a roof has to come off, or the budget does not match the house, you hear it on the first visit. Bad news is cheap at the start and expensive in the middle.
Write it down
Scope, materials, price, sequence and dates — in a document, in a language you read. What is not written down is not agreed.
Photograph everything
Regular photos are not marketing. They are how an owner two thousand kilometres away can see that the work really happened this week.
Build for the climate
Cretan summers, salt air and winter damp punish shortcuts. We build for what the house has to survive, not for what looks finished on handover day.
